Entries in My Boys (65)

Tis the Season.....

Here is our FIRST official family Christmas Card with Honey B, myself and the 4evermyboys.

I of course left off the boys names and such.  But sometimes I think it's funny that I continue to do that.  I'm sure if someone really wanted to find out my children's names from looking at my blog....it wouldn't be all that hard to figure them out.

Oh well....  Just typing out loud.

We wish you all out in blogland a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

DisneyWorld 2012....

(*Note* This is my first ever attempt at video editing.... Lol It was kinda a pain.  But I'll totally try it again in the future.  Also I need to clarify...YES...Bug does have his own bed.  CeCe just kicks him out of it sometimes.  CeCe prefers to sleep with his brothers, rather than in his own bed, in his own room.  Go Figure....)

WE woke up Camo and Bug Wednesday morning (October 24th) with a surprise trip to DisneyWorld!!!!

We have been planning this trip for a over month.

It was kept under Top Secret....until the morning we left for the airport.

We couldn't wait to wake them up and see their reaction :) :)

(Here's the obligatory kiss pic ...get used to it)

(Always Miss Competitive.....but I did BEAT him this particular ride)

Oh my goodness..... We had soooooo much fun!  Luckily enough we missed Hurricane Sandy.

Florida was fortunate enough to get passed by.

My prayers go out to all the people in the northeast that have been devastated by that storm :( :(

Anyway..... Lots of rides, lots of walking, and a whole lot of FUN :)

Mountain Bike Racing.....

I truly love that I'm blogging about a Mountain Bike Race versus a Motorcross Race....

How exciting that my Kelto is participating in a newly minted mountain bike league for Utah High School kids....  This league (in my opinion, is way overdue).

Check out it's website for more info....Utah High School Cycling League.

Kelto had his final race yesterday up at Soldier Hollow.  I think he did amazing.

I hate to say it, but I will anyway.

It was a welcome relief to watch a mountain bike race, over yet another soccer game.

Me, Honey B and Chase-A-Rama all went up to support Kelto.  I can't wait till next year when he is racing Varsity.

Pre-Race.....waiting to line up.

Ooooohhhhh Kelto.....  Just take a picture with your mom.  It won't kill you.

Right off the start line.

Lap 2 of a 3 lap course....

Finish Line.....

Good Job buddy....  I love to watch those long legs of yours move up the mountain..... lol :)

I love my FAMILY!!!

I think I need to clarify that no, I have NOT remarried.....(yet).  No, these are not Engagement pics.....

and NO I'm neither engaged or anything else otherwise :)

(I've been hit up with some wonderings from my blog viewers)

But I will say I'm extremely happy.  I've met an amazing man.  I'm in a 100% committed relationship with him (and I have been for pretty much the last two years, with just a few hiccups along the way)

I only was able to start posting his picture on my blog starting last summer....

It's not that I didn't want to.  It's just legally I was advised not to.

So now (finally) you all get the pleasure of seeing the Man Behind the Curtain.

But back to the marriage thing..... For now Honey B and I are just living our lives.  Content with how things are progressing.  It's been a long road to get to where we are today.  So marriage or not....we're HAPPY!

And that's good enough for me and good enough for him (for now).

BUT I promise I'll let my blog know if I ever become engaged and/or married ever again.

That's why I'm keeping my mouth shut.

But my Honey B knows I'll be his forever and always.  He is apart of this family, wedding ring or not.  He is an amazing father to my boys.  And I'm surprised everyday how much happier the boys and I are with him apart of our lives.

Anyway.... Here's a couple more of our Fall Family Pics :)

La Roca Pioneer Cup 2012

My CeCe's U13 Boys Soccer team took this years Pioneer Cup Championship.... YAY!!!

This tourney was also CeCe's debut back into the soccer world after his MX accident barely 8 weeks ago.  He did great, even starting every game.  Maybe a little out of shape, but overall I was super proud of my boy.

Also my Camo's La Roca team competed.... Playing up a year even.

Cam did awesome!!  In fact one game he had a "Hat Trick".... Good Job Buddy!

I was lucky enough to get a pic of 1 of his 3 goals that particular game :)

This happens at my house all the time....

(And Yes....I do it too)

Dirty Dashing It....

The fam and I ran this years Dirty Dash.  It was alot of Muddy Fun....

I think I still may have residual mud in crevices of my body that I may not know about....just saying :)

{Pre Race}

{I'm somewhere in the middle of that Muddy Mess}

{Tee Tee looks like a G.I. Joe}

{My hair is literally stuck to Camo's arm....lol}

Next year if we decide to race the Dirty Dash again....  I think I'll just follow my boys around the course with my camera and a Go Pro attached to my head.

I'm good with not getting muddy again.... But getting pics of my boys racing would be a riot.

That Kid is a minor miracle.  He's already fighting with his brothers.  Swimming. Kinda playing a little soccer.  All at my protest of course.  But honestly....his recovery has been slightly amazing.

Lovely Greenish Bruise on CeCe's chest.  He took one hell of a hit.....big sigh.

There just comes a point....

....when I wonder if I can truly handle anymore.

And then I say to myself, "Yes Carly" there is.  This thing called "Life" that we are all living.  It isn't easy.  God gives us trials and tribulations on a DAILY BASIS.  Big, small, long in suffering, or maybe even short in length.

I don't know what to even type.  I feel so lost...numb right now.

But then I sit back.  I really take in the whole situation.  I look at my life.  I mean I TRULY look at my life.  And I see that I (along with my 4 boys) are extremely blessed.  More blessed than I could ever imagine my life being.  And that thought brings me peace.

So anyway yesterday pretty much sucked.  In fact the last week or so pretty sucked it up as well.

Here's the story....  My CeCe came to me Tuesday night and showed me his grades on his portal.  He had all A's and one B.  I was super impressed and proud of him.  So he asked if he could miss school and go to the MX track the next day (Wednesday) with his dad.  I told him yes....  I hate that he misses school.  But I figured school was out on Friday anyway so what's the harm?

So to speed the story up.... I recieved a phone call around 9:30 a.m. telling me my CeCe had broke his collarbone.  Of course I freaked out.  I was beyond worried and upset.  But I calmed myself.  I thought ok Carly.... It's just a broke collarbone.  Kelto just broke his 4 weeks ago.  And Kelto is healing great. Everything will be fine.

So I drove to the hospital (BTW I HATE THE HOSPITAL!!!!!!!).  When I first came upon CeCe I soon realized it was way more than a broken collarbone.  He looked like HELL....

I also soon learned that I wasn't truly informed as to what had really happened.  Because I'm a freak-out and it was probably for the best.

So heres the gist of the story.  CeCe attempted his first triple jump at the MX Track.  He over shot it.  I mean he really OVER shot it.  He endowed off his bike and was completely KNOCKED OUT!!!  He completely laid himself out.  He sustained a hit that would've put me in the hospital for a week.

Here is the list of his injuries....

-Knocked out

-Broken Right Collarbone

-5 broken Ribs

-Broken Back (T4 Vertebrae fracture)

-impact on Jaw (mouth semi-swollen shut)

-Contusions on both Lungs

-Contusion on right Kidney and Adrenal Gland

-mulitple contusions, cuts, scrapes and tire marks upon his body.

He was just about admitted to the hospital to be monitored over night.  But I insisted I could take care of him at home.  That's where I shine....taking care of my boys.  I knew what to watch for if anything were to change or happen.  The doctor agreed and CeCe was lucky enough to not have a hospital stay.

Now can I just say that I was in shock.  Can I also just say that CeCe is an extremely amazing kid.  He is beyond the toughest boy his age I know.  The ER doctor and Ortho doctor we're beyond amazed at his resilience.  In fact we didn't even know until 2 hours after the accident that he had such extensive injuries.  The collarbone was honestly the only worry....

And can I also say it wasn't until we got home that afternoon did he even take his first pain med.

SOooooo here he is layed up for most of the summer.  He's missing soccer try-outs, the Dirty Dash, soccer regionals in Phoenix (mid June), and playing Intramural Football and Football camps.

Lots of movies will be watched, and too much xbox will be played.

But I'm honestly BEYOND grateful that CeCe is still walking.  I'm grateful he will heal and be 100% normal.  I'm grateful for the power of the Priesthood and the blessing my older brother Ash gave to him.  I'm thankful for my parents, family, friends, and everyone else for their prayers and offers of help.  We have such an amazing support system.

I can't thank everyone enough.

The pic above is of CeCe blowing up a balloon to keep his lung function up.  Since his lungs were bruised there was a worry of him developing pneumonia.  So he's been getting up periodically slowly walking around, and blowing up balloons here and there throughout the day...

And just so it's made known again....

YES YES YES I Hate Motocross!

I love Motocross!!!!

My boys racing MX is the most "fantastical" thing EVER!!!

I'm so proud to watch them jump 20+ feet in the air, to race through the beyond bumpy whoops, and hit the corners with everything they have. It's so freaking amazing to watch.....

I love it even more when they are at the starting line with 20+ other riders pegging the throttle in hopes of getting the hole shot....

Honestly the sound of the rev of their dirt bikes gives me the chills....I can't get enough of it!!

LOVE it even more when they are hit from behind by another rider....because this is what happens!

Let me say it one more time just in case you didn't get it the first time.

I didn't get any pics of CeCe racing.... I made a trip to the emergency room instead.  Awesome.....

I've said it before....I'll say it many times more....

"There is a special place in Heaven for a mom with all boys".

(Buggy chose wisely and didn't race this time around)

Here's Kelto's first youtube/GoPro video (that he's ever made) from that day at the track.

His wreck is at the very end.  I hope you enjoy it.

Cause I didn't....;)

OCA MX Track April 22, 2012

Easter In Hurricane 2012....

Once again I spent Easter at my Hurricane House.  This time around it was only myself and 3 of my boys.

Mr. Kelto (as usual for a teenager) spent it with his friends riding motorcycles at the other end of the state.

No big deal....  We had fun just the 4 of us.

But before we headed our separate ways.  Kelto and I decided once and for all to determine who is taller.....

(Any of my boy's being as tall or taller than me is kinda an accomplishment....just sayin)

Franklin, Schwarzeneggar, Lennon, Mtn. Biking and Soccer.....

Last week in my Buggy's PAL class he had the assignment to pick a prominent historical figure in our country's history....  Once chosen he was to prepare not only a written and oral report on that figure, but to then dress up like the historical figure, and physically become that person, at a "Night at the Museum" which would be held at his elementary school.....

Buggy chose Mr. Benjamin Franklin (shocker).....no not really.

We went all out and rented a costume from the Hale Theatre in SLC.

Buggy was one heck of a Benjamin Franklin.

Man I love that kid.

Also over the weekend I took CeCe and Bug to Vegas for yet another soccer tourney....  While there we visited Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and low and behold they had a figure of Mr. Benjamin Franklin.

Also while down south the boys and I took in a little Mtn. Biking.  I'm trying to regain my old Mtn. Biking self.... I pretty much suck compared to my boys.  Buy hey at least I'm out there giving it a go :)

Will you be my Valentine....

Happy Love Day :)

I put together a Valentine collage of what a typical V-day looks like at our house....

Number One:  Our front door plastered (at least not our yard) with hearts, hearts and more hearts by the local throng of junior high girls....that have a love/like fascination with my CeCe.

2.  Mama got some Flowers....  Booyah!!! (wink wink)

Num 3.  Four Valentine sacks, full of Valentine goodies, for 4evermyboys, from Me :)

#4  Camo's Soccer Goal Valentine Box that Mama and Cam made together.  I think it turned out fantabulous!

5.  LOVE

#6.  Wonderful Valentine's that Nannie April and Papa Dave sent to all of us.  Super Duper Cute!!!

Finally it decided to snow.....

First Snowfall of 2012.....tastes good!

I woke up yesterday morning to the sound of my neighbors four-wheeler.  I laid in bed wondering what on earth he was doing.  I thought to myself, "It couldn't of snowed".....  But why else would he be on his 4-wheeler, going up and down his driveway, at 7:00 in the morning??

But alas, YES, it did snow!  My Camo came running in my room not less than 10 seconds later declaring that it was a snow day.

Geez it took long enough.....

Anyway.  I love the snow.  I was born during a horrible blizzard.  I desperately want to start using my season's up at Snowbasin, but I refuse to go until we get some real snow. (Soooo Michelle, you and me, monday morning, up at Basin, yah baby)!!

But with all the excitement of the freshly laid powder in the mountains....  I now have to contend with snow removal from my "big butt" driveway.  Big sigh.....

But I eventually got my boys and myself outside.  Snowshovels, and our own 4-wheeler (with plow) in hand.  And took to the task of clearing my driveway.  To be honest Camo and Bug were worthless.  They shoveled for about 10 minutes, but then decided making a snow fort was way better.  Of course CeCe is in St. George for the weekend.  So it was all left to Kelto and myself....

Good Stuff....

This could be a perfect wedding song (wink wink).  Or a song I could dedicate to my boys.  Because I promise I will never give up on them....ever.  I promise to always be the one constant in their lives.

Anyway lot's of reasons as to why I love this :) :)

It's because this is Good Stuff.....

"I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make"

My Fall/Xterra Week....

When my boys were younger I use to dread the coming of Fall....  Because inevitably that meant that soon it would be cold outside, and they'd be cooped up all winter....inside....alone with just me.  (I'm getting the shakes just thinking about it)

But alas I no longer have babies.  Big sigh of relief.....

Now I can't believe what I was missing out on.  Fall time in Utah is wonderful.....absolutely beautiful :)

Last week was lot's of fun.  I went on my weekly hike with my mom and Miss Layla on the Shoreline Trail.

Also my boys and I (plus a few of our friends) competed in the Xterra Trailrun.

Kelto and CeCe ran the 10k and did awesome.  They both placed top 3 in their age divisions.

Bug and Camo ran the 5k with me, and they kicked butt, they both took 2nd place in their age divisions.

I just love those boys....  They continually amaze me :)

Miss Natalie, Miss H and myself ran the 5k.....and we finished....with big smiles on our faces.

Thanks to the Bastian and Bell Family....you guys rocked it.  We loved hanging out with all you guys :)
