Entries in My Family (7)

DisneyWorld 2012....

(*Note* This is my first ever attempt at video editing.... Lol It was kinda a pain.  But I'll totally try it again in the future.  Also I need to clarify...YES...Bug does have his own bed.  CeCe just kicks him out of it sometimes.  CeCe prefers to sleep with his brothers, rather than in his own bed, in his own room.  Go Figure....)

WE woke up Camo and Bug Wednesday morning (October 24th) with a surprise trip to DisneyWorld!!!!

We have been planning this trip for a over month.

It was kept under Top Secret....until the morning we left for the airport.

We couldn't wait to wake them up and see their reaction :) :)

(Here's the obligatory kiss pic ...get used to it)

(Always Miss Competitive.....but I did BEAT him this particular ride)

Oh my goodness..... We had soooooo much fun!  Luckily enough we missed Hurricane Sandy.

Florida was fortunate enough to get passed by.

My prayers go out to all the people in the northeast that have been devastated by that storm :( :(

Anyway..... Lots of rides, lots of walking, and a whole lot of FUN :)

Proud to be.....

....his Granddaughter.

The Standard-Examiner ran an article in the Sunday paper....highlighting the Military life of my Grandpa.

Check it out here!!!!

It's BEYOND amazing the life that this man has lead.............

DisneyWorld, Miss Michelle, and Halloween.....

The Fam and I (minus the two older Stinky Peets) braved the elements and luckily missed Hurricane Sandy while we visited DisneyWorld last week and weekend.  Another post to come on this super fun trip :)

I decided to lift my photography embargo and do family pics for my amazing friend Michelle and her beautiful family.  I honestly love her and her kids....  Michelle and I have way too much in commom with our lives.  And rightfully so....we've become super close this last year.  Here are a couple sneak peaks of her family pics.

Meet a couple Zombies and....

Meet the Flintstones....... Fred and WILMA!!!!!!!!!

Meet the GreenMan ??? aka my little bro Tee Tee.....

Meet my Biker Chick Mom (with a FAKE cigarette FYI !!), and my "Conglomerate" Father?

(I'm not sure what he was trying to be....many things in one??)

Sneak Peek sealed with a Kiss....

Can you tell I'm happy.... ?

Because I am!! It's been a long time coming.

I'll post more family pics when I get a chance :)

Thanks go out to my good friend and fellow photog Miss Brittney Hale.

Check out her blog.....she does awesome work!!

Give her a call if you need your family pictures done.  I'm taking a small hiatus.

School...My Boys....My Man....Myself....and My New Life....are all that I'm concentrating on for awhile.

70 Years Married....

On May 6th my Grandparents, Don and Dawn Brimhall, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Whoa....that is quite an accomplishment!

Papa Don is going strong at 94 yrs. old, Nana Dawnie is hard to keep up with at 88....

Myself, along with my 2 brothers, were extremely blessed to grow up living right next door to my grandparents.  I honestly don't think I would be the person I am today without their influence and example in my life.

This is how and what a marriage should look like.  It's overwhelmingly sad (to me) that families and marriages are easily thrown away these days.....

In their 70 years of marriage they have been blessed with:

- 3 sons

- 8 grandchildren

- 21 great-grandchildren

They had many, many trials and tribulations, up and downs, good and bad......but ya know what?

They made it.....

That's how it's "suppose" to work.

Anyway....the whole Brimhall Clan joined in celebrating this momentous occasion with my grandparents at Maddox for dinner.  I'm lucky to have the family I have.  I'm blessed.....

Easter in Hurricane....

Whoa.  It's a minor miracle. No Youtube music video.  Just an Easter Photo Extravaganza.  Nice.

Be thankful for what you "do" have....

Have any of you seen all the "....I'm a Mormon" videos and ads? Alot of them can be found on youtube.

Anyway....I woke up this morning and for some reason I was guided to this particular video.  I've never seen this one.  I ought to forward it to Miss Natalie....I think I will.

This wonderful video mainly has to do with having special needs children.  How what a blessing they are.  What unconditional joy and love they can bring to a family.  I loved it.

BUT I got something out of this video different from what I initially expected.  Rochelle (the mom in video) made a comment referring to a picture of her 4 children.  She said....

"I didn't necessarily imagine my family would look the way that it does"....

I feel the same about my family.

Granted I don't have special needs children.  I have been extremely blessed with 4 healthy and amazing boys.  I need to count my blessings everyday.  I need to be more thankful for what I have....instead of what I haven't.

I never imagined that my family would end up looking like this....

It's been a struggle.

I'm learning to be thankful for what I "do" have.

So on this conference weekend I've shared just a little smidgeon of my struggles and spirituality.

In conclusion I guess I should say....I'm Carly, I'm a redhead, I'm a Utahn, I'm a mom and I'm a Mormon.

P.S. I love that Rochelle is a Redhead too....just saying :)
